Position Openings:

Retail Banking Positions

We are seeking dedicated individual(s) to join our retail team. Full time and Part time CSR/Teller positions are available throughout the branch network. As a Customer Service Rep/Teller with North Middlesex Savings Bank, you will refer customers to the appropriate internal business partner for product and service needs uncovered during bank transactions and/or conversations.

Additional job responsibilities of the CSR/Teller include:
• While processing customer transactions and handling cash, initiate conversations with customers to uncover their banking needs
•Personally maintaining a balancing record, finding and correcting errors and asking for help in this process as needed
•Handling customer issues with professionalism and seamlessly directing issues to the retail management team
•Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of financial policies, procedures, products and services
You will also continuously increase your professional knowledge and skill set through in-house training and career development.

Candidates must have high school diploma or equivalent experience in sales, banking, retail, or other role that involves cash handling and customer service. Computer proficiency. Be available to work Saturdays.  Ability to work a flexible schedule and stay late as needed preferred. Reliable transportation needed.


Mortgage Loan Originators

If you are a dynamic and driven Mortgage Originator who has the desire to advance your career with a stable and highly regarded community bank, join our Mortgage Loan team at NMSB! We are seeking mortgage loan originators to serve the Metro West area and portions of Middlesex and Worcester Counties.  Originators will have the ability to generate Conventional, FHA,VA, USDA, MHFA and Construction mortgages.  North Middlesex Savings Bank also offers a full suite of portfolio mortgage products. A thorough understanding of underwriting guidelines is required.

The ideal candidate should have an undergraduate degree and 3 – 5 years experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer in the current market environment and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, across a variety of audiences. In addition, have proven time management, problem-solving skills and take the initiative to make sound decisions and work positively and cooperatively with a team. Proven organizational, business development, problem solving, analytical skills, knowledge of PC and web applications are required.  Active engagement in the community is also highly desired. 

External relationships are the cornerstone of generating new business and may consist of realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts. Our Mortgage Originators are encouraged to participate in professional organizations and business related development opportunities, community efforts to promote home ownership.
